The House of Representatives today delivered a massive blow to the Democrat-led effort to launch impeachment proceedings against President Donald Trump.
The move was sponsored by left-wing Texas Democrat Rep. Al Green, a nut job who has repeatedly tried to force votes on impeachment proceedings. None of his past efforts have gone anywhere and today’s move was no different than his past failures.
For the December 6 vote, 364 Congressmen voted against the measure and a mere 58 — all Democrats — voted in favor. 4 voted present. This is a massive failure.
Green did his best to gin up fear and hate, though.

In a dramatic speech on the floor ahead of the vote, Green called Trump “unfit” for office and accused him of “high misdemeanors.”
…
“As I have said before, this is not about Democrats, it is about democracy,” Green wrote in a memo to his colleagues. “It is not about Republicans, it is about the fate of our Republic. May everyone vote their conscience knowing that history will judge us all.”
The vote was symbolic and was sure to fail, regardless. Still, it put some lawmakers in competitive districts in a tough spot by forcing them on the record about impeachment.

“Lawmakers did not actually vote on the actual articles of impeachment, but on a procedural measure that would have led to a vote on them,” Fox wrote.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders called the Green’s effort “pathetic.”
Interestingly, though, Green didn’t even mention the claims about Russia collusion that has the left all hot and bothered… naturally, he left it out because despite over a year of “investigations” into the accusation of collusion, not a shred of evidence has come out to prove it.
In his memo to lawmakers, Green didn’t allege “obstruction of justice” or reference the ongoing investigation into the 2016 presidential campaign’s connection with Russia.
Instead, Green highlighted Trump’s supposed association with “White Nationalism, Neo-Nazism and Hate,” as well as “Inciting Hatred and Hostility,” as offenses worthy of impeachment.
“Friends, whether we like it or not, we now have a bigot in the White House who incites hatred and hostility,” Green wrote in a letter.
Even House Democrat leader Nancy Pelosi felt Green’s effort was a joke. She said any impeachment efforts should be put on hold until there is some real reason to push it.

This was just another example of Democrats making themselves look foolish as they indulge their wild-eyed hatred for President Donald Trump.
